Troubleshooting
Nothing Happens when I tap the Keychain
- Ensure NFC is enabled in your phone's settings.
- Try tapping the keychain in different spots on the back of your phone. NFC antennas vary in location.
The app says "Write failed"
- Ensure the keychain hasn't been already locked.
- Hold the keychain steady against your phone until the confirmation appears.
It works on my phone but not someone else's
- Some phones require the screen to be unlocked to read NFC.
- Very old phones many not support NFC at all (they had a good run).
F.A.Q.
Can I change the link later?
Yes. As long as the NFC tag hasn’t been locked, you can rewrite it at any time using the same steps.
Do people need an app to open my link?
No. Anyone with an NFC-enabled phone can tap the keychain and open the link automatically. No app required for them.
Will this work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. Most modern iPhones and Android phones support NFC reading. Writing NFC requires an app, but reading does not.
Can I share more than one link?
Not directly. One NFC tag opens one destination. If you want multiple links, use a landing page or link hub and program that URL instead.
